Peter Kirn hails from Kentucky, USA, but has spent more time in past years in his adoptive home Berlin and around the former Communist bloc, with ongoing collaborations orbiting around Wunderblock's Moscow HQ. Chameleonic multitasker, electronic music composer and technologist, he has imagined a densely-packed, driving, dark form of cinematic techno experiments for Objectors. The extended EP mixes dreamlike harmonies and polyrhythms with aggressive, speedy subterranean techno, packed with unapologetically dirty and complex noises.
The EP’s opener, raunchy, relentless “What We Forged Now,” gives way to dubby, layered rhythmic complexity in "As Strong as the Objectors." "Celestial Inbetween" combines frenetic energy and melancholy atop broken kicks, for hyperactive ambient techno. “The Chill of Them” is more direct, a grimy, darkly distorted ending.
The two remixes draw from two other defiantly underground artists. Up-and-coming artist OCD, aka Italian-born, Berlin-based Chiara Bubu, has made the rounds of Berlin's grimiest parties and XXX-rated floors with her fiercely high-tempo style, and recently was included on a Fabrik compilation. She overlocks "What We Forged Now" into blistering, peak-hour destruction ready to waste the weak. From Kharkiv, Ukraine, Danny Skripp draws out "Celestial Inbetween" into a murky ambient anthem, thick with sound and layers of soot.

beautiful minimal meaningful ambience ✨ on a more general note i am in some awe of this prolific artist and what i perceive as a sharp commentary on the state of being such an artist outside of the industry in our current existence. jonee

What a wonderful (kind of Dark Ambient) album. Love it. Read a Dark (Fantasy/Mystery) book, put your headphones on - (very) low volume. That way this music will strengthen your imagination and feelings. Plus, when you go on reading the next day or next week you'll fall into the story immediately, the mind remembers easily the ambiance of the music. oliver92
